(c) Entries may be submitted by an individual or as a group. Multiple entries are also acceptable. A principal entrant must be denoted in the entry, and this person will receive the prize money should the group win. It is then the responsibility of the group to allocate the money amongst themselves, and the Coalition is in no way responsible for the money once awarded.
(c) The Competition is open for entries as of 15 April 2009, and entries may be submitted to www.behindthescenes.co.nz until midnight on 15 June 2009.
(d) All entrants agree to be bound fully by these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

2. Content
(a) The aim of the competition is to encourage young adults to engage with issues relating to domestic violence.
(b) The entrants should make a short video, of up to five minutes addressing this issue. The video should explore and investigate young people’s behaviour with regard to male power and control in relationships. The video should not simply dramatise or portray the outcomes of relationship violence, but also consider the underlying dynamics and unhealthy behaviours that accompany this violence.
(c) Any entry considered offensive by the Competition Organiser or Coalition members will be removed. This includes videos that feature graphic violence, sexism, racism or other such objectionable content.
(d) The video can be in the following formats: .avi .mov .mpeg .flv .mkv and the maximum file size is 50MB. Entrants may submit videos shot on a mobile phone.

3. Entries
(a) To enter the Competition, entrants should upload their videos to the site www.behindthescenes.co.nz. These videos will be uploaded to YouTube for public view once vetted by the Competition Organiser. The videos may later be used by the Coalition as promotional materials, and the entrant agrees to the use of the video by the Coalition without compensation.

4. Selection of Winner / Prizes
(a) The winner will be selected on or about 20 June 2009. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding in all regards. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or email on or about 25 June 2009.
(b) The First Place entry will win $2000 NZ Dollars, and the Runner up will receive $1000.
(c) If, for reasons beyond the control of the Coalition, the Competition is not capable of running as originally planned, the Coalition, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel or modify the Competition without liability. If a sufficient number of eligible entries (as determined by the Coalition in its sole discretion) are not received by the end of the Competition period, the Coalition reserves the right not to award any or all prizes. All entrants agree to comply fully with these rules.

5. Consent of Participants
(a) All entrants must gain the consent of all participants in the videos submitted. The participants must be aware of the purpose of the video and its future use as an entry in the Competition. They must also be aware that the video may be used by the Coalition following the conclusion of the Competition.

6. Release of the Coalition From Any and All Liability
(a) Entrants agree that the Coalition shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of prize(s), or participation in the Contest. Entrants also agree that the Coalition is not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer related to or resulting from the Competition and/or its prizes.
(b) This release extends to any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, or participation in Competition, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Competition-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. The
Entrant agrees not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against the Coalition, assigns and licensees, or any other person in connection with this Competition, on the grounds that any use of any Entry, or any derivative works, infringe or violate any of entrants’ rights therein.
(c) The Entrant(s) states that the video is their original work and has not previously been submitted in any competition and has not won an award or prize of any kind. Further, that the video does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, logos, contract and licensing rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights, or any other intellectual property rights and that it is not subject to any third party agreements, and that the Coalition will not be required to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of its use or exploitation.
(d) Prior to using a piece of music and/or sound recording the Entrant(s) must have obtained permission from the composer, publisher and/or record company to use it. It must be original work, and any one who appears in it, or whose work you have used must be fully credited and their consent must have been gained. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to identify and clear all copyright and/or intellectual property rights that could be breached in the video.
